Bear Creek SnoMo is a hard out-and-back hike in the Diamond Lake Ranger District of Umpqua National Forest in Oregon. It starts at about 4,574 feet and climbs to 5,235 feet, with a total elevation gain of 2,188 feet over a 14.9-mile round trip. The trail's steepest stretch comes at about 4.3 miles, where the grade reaches 15 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 79°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days. Millsite campground sits just 0.4 miles from the trail, and Thielsen Forest Camp is 0.8 miles away. The Elephant Mt. Loop Winter hike is 0.5 miles off, and Clearwater Falls Campground is about 2.6 miles away.
