Lemolo Lake Peninsula is an easy, out-and-back hike on natural surface, about 0.34 miles long, that rises about 13 feet from its low point of 4,148 feet to a high of 4,173 feet. The trail lies within the Diamond Lake Ranger District of Umpqua National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The climb is steady, with the steepest grade of about 6% at around 0.06 miles, and the total round-trip gain is about 93 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. A nearby weather station records typical July and August highs around 79°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings frequent snow. The station sits about 96 feet lower than the high point, so temperatures on the ridge run slightly cooler. The hike opens from June 1 to October 31, and the trip takes about half an hour. The Lemolo Lake Shortcut is about 0.2 miles away, and Poole Creek Campground (H) and Poole Creek campground are both about half a mile off. East Lemolo Campground is about 1.3 miles away.
