Hidden Meadows is a 3.5-mile out-and-back hike in the Barlow Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest, about 1.5 hours from Government Camp, Oregon. The trail starts at around 4,094 feet and rises to a high point of 4,480 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 457 feet. It's a moderate route, with rolling terrain and a steepest stretch of about 8% near the 1.7-mile mark. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. Several other outings lie close by. Forest Creek and Rock Creek 905 are both under 1.5 miles away. White River Station campground is about 2.5 miles off, and the White River offers canoeing roughly 3.4 miles away.
