Bonney Meadows Trail is a 2.4-mile point-to-point hike in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, within the Barlow Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail starts at about 5,224 feet, rising to a high point of 5,234 feet before descending to a low of 3,511 feet. The route is rated easy, and the total elevation gain is 1,714 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Government Camp show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. That station sits roughly 1,250 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. The trail passes within a quarter mile of Bonney Meadows campground and the Boulder Lake and Forest Creek hikes. The White River, about 2 miles away, offers canoeing.
