Gorge Trail is a 4.9-mile point-to-point hike in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, managed by the Forest Service. The route rises from a low point of 82 feet to a high of 370 feet, with an elevation gain of 856 feet, and is rated easy. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Skamania Fish Hatchery show July and August highs around 79 to 80°F, with only five or six wet days a month. Winter is much wetter, with 20 or more wet days a month from December through March. The trail sits right next to Larch Mountain Trail, about 0.1 mile away, and Devils Rest is about half a mile off. Rat Cave, a climbing area, is about 1.1 miles away, and Oneonta Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 2.4 miles away.
