Dickey Creek is a hard hike in the Clackamas River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 11.7 miles long and is an out-and-back route, with the high point at 4,678 feet and the low at 2,499 feet. The total climb is about 3,772 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 3.9 miles in, where the grade reaches 45 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. The Collawash River, a canoeing spot, is about 1.6 miles away, and Kingfisher campground is about 3.1 miles off. Bull of the Woods and Rhododendron Ridge are both hikes within about 3.7 miles.
