Cooks Meadow is a 4-mile out-and-back hike on natural trail surface in the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route rises from about 5,970 feet to a high point of 5,974 feet before returning, with a total elevation gain of 1,315 feet and a steepest stretch of about 12% at roughly 1 mile in. The climb is moderate, and the route takes about two hours. It starts at the top and ends at the top, so the full trip doubles the one-way gain. High Prairie and Cooks Meadow Trail #639 both lie within about a quarter mile of the trail. Nottingham Campground is about 2 miles away, and Fifteen Mile Campground is about 3 miles out.
