Billie Creek Nature is a short, easy hike in the Klamath Ranger District of Oregon's Fremont-Winema National Forest, about 1.2 miles long and with a total elevation gain of 79 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, and the high point is about 4975 feet, with the low point at about 4956 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.38 miles in, with a grade of about 8 percent. The trail is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. It is not an accessible trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Howard Prairie Dam show July and August highs around 79°F with only two or three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. The hike is open from June 1 to October 31, and the trip takes about half an hour. Aspen Point Campground is just 0.2 miles away, and the Billie Creek Loop is about half a mile off. Fourmile Lake, a cross-country ski area, is also about half a mile away.
