Two Pitch Wall is a climbing area in North Carolina, about a mile from the town of Mountain View. It sits right beside the Car Wall and The Fortress climbing areas, and the Backside Trail starts within a tenth of a mile, making it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding rock and trails. The area offers 12 routes, most of which are trad climbs, with a few mixed routes. Grades run from 5.4 to 5.10+, with the median around 5.8. Two of the named routes, Trash Compactor (5.5, mixed) and Secret Service (5.10+, mixed), stand out for their mixed style and the first ascent details they carry. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Gastonia show October highs around 74°F and April highs around 74°F, while July highs reach about 91°F and winter nights dip to around freezing. Paddlers can find Long Creek about 5 miles away and South Fork Crowders Creek a little farther in South Carolina.
