High Heel Boulder is a bouldering area in Harriman State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among several other climbing areas and trails, so it works well as a stop in a day of exploring the park's rock and hiking. The bouldering here is all on the same scale, with 12 routes ranging from V0+ to V11. The High Heel route gives the area its name, and Chuck For it is the hardest at V11. The climbing is close to the White Diamond Trail, which starts about 0.1 mile away, and the 7 Hills Trail is about 0.7 mile off. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the park, so temperatures on the boulders may run a little cooler. Swamp King and Basilisk are both about 0.1 mile away, and the Ramapo River offers fishing about 4 miles away across the state line in New Jersey.
