Dojo Left is a bouldering area in Harriman State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among several other climbing spots, including Godzilla Boulder, Fern Cliff and Whale Wall, all about 0.1 mile away, and the White Diamond Trail, also about 0.1 mile off. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated between V1 and V4 on the V scale. Sloppy Joe is the easiest at V1, and Mantel Impossible is the hardest at V4. The routes are all boulders, so there is no climbing on rock faces here. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the park, so temperatures on the boulders may run slightly cooler. Nearby, the 7 Hills Trail and Seven Hills hikes are within a mile. Across the state line in New Jersey, the Ramapo River offers fishing about 4 miles away.
