God Jam Buttress is a climbing area in Harriman State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots and trails, with Dime Store, West Terrace and the White Diamond Trail all about 0.1 mile away. The area has seven routes, with sport climbing the most common style. The grades run from 5.2 up to 5.11+, and the hardest is the trad route God Jam Roof at 5.11+. Among the sport routes are Far Left Arete at 5.2 and Kojo at 5.11b. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 84°F. Nearby, the 7 Hills Trail and Seven Hills hikes are within a mile. Across the state line in New Jersey, the Ramapo River offers fishing about 4 miles away.
