B Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in New York, about a mile from the community of Lake Mohegan. The trail is an out-and-back that covers roughly 0.28 miles, with a total climb of about 45 feet. It's a flat ride, and the steepest stretch comes early on, at about 6 percent grade. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Shrub Oak show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. Several other trails sit within a tenth of a mile, including W Trail, Y Trail and G Trail for mountain biking, and the W Trail - Circolara for hiking. Climbers can head to Rocky Glen Pond, about 5.4 miles away.
