Yellow Trail is an easy, out-and-back hike of about 1.9 miles in Saxon Woods County Park in New York, on county-managed land. The climb is gentle, with a total gain of about 170 feet over the course of the trip, and the trail is rated easy. The trail rises from a low point of about 122 feet to a high of about 196 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.88 miles in, with a grade of about 3 percent. The round trip takes about half an hour. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Dobbs Ferry-Ardsley run to highs around 73°F in May and 77°F in September. The White Trail lies about 0.6 miles away, and the Jack Harrington Greenway and Colonial Greenway are both within about 2 miles. The Upper Trail Peninsula climbing area is about 2.3 miles off.
