Upper Trail Peninsula is a bouldering area in New York, sitting about 0.2 miles from the community of Pinebrook Heights. It is a compact cluster of five boulder problems, all rated from V0 to V5 on the V scale, and the closest of them is the Upper Trail hike, just 0.1 mile away. The boulders were all first ascended by Stefano Falero in December 2021. The routes run from the easy V0 of Convex to the harder V5 of Caret Shoot, with Väins at V2 as the median. The area is small enough to fit into a short outing, and the Leatherstocking Trail climbing area is 0.4 mile away. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from the Dobbs Ferry-Ardsley weather station, about 5 miles away, show May highs near 73°F and September highs near 77°F, with July peaking around 86°F. Nearby, the Colonial Greenway and Blue Trail hikes are within about a mile and a half, and paddlers can reach the Bronx River about 6.5 miles away.
