Myosotis Dam Trail is a short, easy hike of about 0.34 miles in the Edmund Niles Huyck Preserve in New York, managed by a non-governmental organization. The trail is a point-to-point route with a low point of about 1,535 feet and a high of about 1,579 feet, so the climb is only about 35 feet one way. The route is flat for most of the way, with the steepest stretch at about 0.24 miles, where the grade reaches about 11 percent. The trail is not wheelchair accessible, and neither bikes nor horses are allowed. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Alcove Dam show July highs around 79°F and lows near 59°F, though that station sits well below the preserve, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Falls Trail is about 0.3 miles away, and Ordway Trail is about 0.7 miles off. Lincoln Pond Trail and Lake Trail are each about a mile away.
