Race Track is a short, easy loop hike in the Edmund Niles Huyck Preserve in New York, a preserve managed by a non-governmental organization. The trail is 0.38 miles long and sits at about 1,673 feet, with a high point of 1,690 feet. The climb is flat, with a total gain of zero feet, and the route is rated easy. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Schoharie show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 74°F, while July averages about 84°F. That station sits roughly 950 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the loop run cooler. The hike takes about half an hour. The Wheeler-Watson Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Ordway Trail and Lincoln Pond Trail are both within half a mile. For time on the water, Tenmile Creek is about 4 miles off.
