Millman Pond Trail is a 2.9-mile point-to-point hike in the Lake George Wild Forest, part of New York's State Department of Conservation lands. It is an easy walk, with a total elevation gain of 370 feet and a loss of 643 feet over the course of the route, which rises from about 1,890 feet to a high point near 2,005 feet before descending. The steepest stretch comes at about 1.9 miles in, where the grade reaches 18%. The trail is not wheelchair accessible, and it is not open to bikes or horses. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 84°F and September highs near 74°F, though that station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. The West Fishbrook Pond Trail starts just 0.3 miles away, and the Erebus Mountain Trail is about 0.8 miles off. Climbers can head to Sleeping Beauty Mountain, roughly 1.8 miles away, and anglers will find The Sagamore about 5.8 miles from the trail.
