Green Trail is a short, easy loop hike in New York, about half a mile from the town of East Woods. The trail is 0.87 miles long, with a one-way climb of about 40 feet. The loop starts and ends at roughly the same elevation, with the highest point at 587 feet and the lowest at 524 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 76°F, with the station sitting several hundred feet lower than the trail, so temperatures up here run a little cooler. Several other trails sit within a short drive. Red Trail and White Trail are each about a mile away, and Blue Trail is about 1.5 miles off. For climbing, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is about 3.4 miles away.
