Tulip Tree Loop is a short, easy loop hike in Connecticut, about 0.4 miles from North Stamford. The trail is 0.29 miles long and sits at a nearly flat elevation, with the start and high point both around 231 feet and the low point at 207 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.16 miles in, with an 8% grade. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Stamford show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 76°F, while July averages about 85°F. Black Birch Trail starts just 0.1 miles away, and Where in the Woods #7 is about 0.6 miles off. Climbers can head to Old Mill Lane Boulder Field, roughly 3.5 miles away, and paddlers to the Norwalk River, about 9.5 miles away.
