Tramway is an easy out-and-back hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest, New Mexico. The route is about 1.8 miles long, with a one-way climb of 222 feet from a low point of about 6,467 feet to a high point of about 6,702 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is not accessible. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable conditions. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sandia Park put May highs around 73°F and October highs around 65°F, with July and August warming to about 83°F. The Tram climbing area sits about 0.4 miles away, and the Jaral Cabin Trail is about 0.3 miles off. The Tram Tower 1 Trail and the Foothills Trail North are both within about half a mile.
