The Survey is a short, easy hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, about 1.2 miles long and roughly 21 feet of elevation gain one way. The trail is natural-surfaced and not accessible, and it sits on Forest Service land. The route is an out-and-back that starts and ends at nearly the same elevation, with the high point around 10,380 feet. It makes a quick stop for anyone already exploring the surrounding area. Several other destinations lie close by. The Ellis Trail and Kiwanis Meadow Trail, both cross-country ski routes, are within a quarter mile. The Challenge and Rocky Point hikes are also about 0.2 miles away. Climbers can find My Secret Garden and Torreon about half a mile off.
