Rocky Ridge Trail is an easy hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 1.2 miles long, and the round trip adds up to roughly 2.5 miles with a total elevation gain of about 370 feet. The route starts at a low point of about 6,870 feet and reaches a high of about 7,250 feet. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Sandia Park weather station, at a similar elevation, run to highs around 73°F in May and 77°F in September, while winter highs sit in the low to mid 40s. Several other trails lie within a short distance, including Leopold Loop, Deer Track Trail, Horseshoe Trail and Bushwack Trail, each about 0.2 miles away. Climbers can find the Ranger Station Wall about 3.4 miles off.
