Faulty Trail (195) is a hard hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The route is out and back, about 12.6 miles long, with a one-way climb of 912 feet from a low point of 7,465 feet to a high of 7,875 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sandia Park weather station, which sits a few hundred feet lower, run to highs around 73°F in May and 77°F in September, while winter highs there hover in the low to mid 40s. The trail starts close to several other hikes. Elk Track is about 0.2 miles away, Vista Trail (259) about 0.3 miles, and Secret Squirrel Trail and Un Poquito are within about half a mile. Climbers can head to Pino Wall, roughly 3.6 miles off.
