Dockweiler is a hard hike in the Pecos Wilderness, part of the Pecos-Las Vegas Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in northern New Mexico. The trail is about 18 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of roughly 2,500 feet, and it is an out-and-back route. The trail is on natural surface and is open to horses. Bikes are not allowed. The hike starts at a low point of about 8,550 feet and climbs to a high point of about 10,690 feet. The surrounding area is managed by the Forest Service. Winsor Ridge is about 0.3 miles away, and the Pecos River and Cave Creek hikes are each about 0.7 miles off. Panchuela campground is also about 0.7 miles away.
