Crest is a short, easy hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The route is just over 0.1 mile long, with a total elevation gain of 15 feet from a low point of 10,289 feet to a high of 10,307 feet. It is a quick stop rather than a full outing, and the climb is so slight that it works well as a short addition to time spent exploring the surrounding area. The Gravel Pit hike and Service Road 488, a cross-country ski route, both lie about 0.1 mile away. Rocky Point Trail is a similar distance. For climbers, Pino Wall & Jawbone is about half a mile off.
