Black Range Crest is an easy out-and-back hike in the Black Range Ranger District of Gila National Forest in western New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 2.7 miles long and gains about 600 feet from a low point of 8,457 feet to a high point of 9,075 feet. The hike starts on the Black Range Ranger District and pairs easily with other trails close by. Cdt Jov is just 0.2 miles away and the Scenic Trail is 0.5 miles away. Silver Creek Road is about 1.6 miles off, and Iron Creek Campground, roughly 2.1 miles away, offers a place to stay overnight.
