Blueberry Mtn is a hard out-and-back hike in New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest, within the Pemigewasset Ranger District. The route gains about 2,750 feet in total over 7.8 miles, with the high point at 2,623 feet. The trail starts at the Blueberry Mt S Trailhead and reaches a low of about 1,281 feet before climbing steadily to the top. The climb is one of the steeper stretches, with a 26% grade around mile 2.2, and the trail is natural-surfaced and open to bikes. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. At a nearby weather station, typical July averages run to a high of 77°F and a low of 56°F. That station sits well below the peak, so temperatures up high run cooler. Winter there is cold, with typical January highs near 26°F. The hike is open year-round, and the estimated time is about four hours. Hurricane Mtn is less than a mile away, and the climbing areas Big Wall and The Apron are each about a mile off. For an overnight stay, Beaver Brook Shelter is about 4.3 miles away.
