Cactus Flower Tower Summit is a climbing area in Nevada's Rainbow Mountain Wilderness, managed by the Bureau of Land Management's Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. The name comes from the summit of the Cactus Flower Tower, and the surrounding area makes it a natural hub for climbers in the region. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. At a nearby weather station, typical July averages run to a high of 79°F and a low of 52°F, and the station sits about 1,100 feet lower than the summit, so temperatures up high run cooler. Winter is cold, with typical January highs around 44°F and lows near 22°F. Climbers will find Blood Wall about 0.1 mile away and Cactus Flower Tower and Aeolian Wall each about 0.2 mile off. For a hike, N Oak Creek Canyon lies about 0.4 mile away. Red Rock Canyon Campground, roughly 6 miles away, is the closest place to camp.
