Mt. Wilson is a climbing area in the Rainbow Mountain Wilderness of Nevada, managed by the Bureau of Land Management's Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. It lies within the wilderness and is also accessible from the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 75°F with lows near 50°F, and April highs near 70°F. That station sits well below the area, so temperatures up high run cooler. Bearclaw Spire and Amber Oasis, The are both about 0.2 miles away, and Slot Club Wall is about 0.3 miles off. For a longer outing, N Oak Creek Canyon is about 1.3 miles away.
