Aquarium Wall is a trad climbing area in the Rainbow Mountain Wilderness of Nevada, within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management. It sits inside designated wilderness, about a mile from Juniper Canyon and Pine Creek Trail. The climbing here is all trad, and the six routes on the wall range from 5.7 to 5.9. The Aquarium and Balsamic are the two easiest, with the Octopus Cave the hardest. Several of the routes were first ascended by climbers including Bruce Bindner, Greg Barnes and Karsten Duncan, who also led Balsamic in April 2008. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July averages about 95°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Red Rock Canyon Campground is about 6 miles away. Rose Tower, Jackrabbit Buttress and Jungle Wall all sit within about a tenth of a mile.
