The Amber Oasis is a climbing area in Nevada's Rainbow Mountain Wilderness, managed by the Bureau of Land Management's Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. It sits within the wilderness, about 0.1 mile from the Slot Club Wall and Bearclaw Spire, and 0.2 mile from First Creek Canyon and First Creek Slabs. The area is a cluster of trad routes, with grades ranging from 5.7 to 5.11. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 80°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits about 1,200 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures up high run cooler. Nine routes are listed, all trad. Among them are "A Horse with No Name" at 5.7, "Amber Oasis" at 5.9, and "Shadow Corner" at 5.11. The Valley Trail and Sandstone Canyon Loop are both within about a mile and a half. Red Rock Canyon Campground is about 6 miles away.
