Krenka 1 is a moderate out-and-back hike of about 3.2 miles in the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in northeastern Nevada. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route rises about 230 feet from a low point of 6,651 feet to a high of 6,872 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 84°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s.
