Hennen Canyon is a hard hike in Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, within the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District. The route is an out-and-back of about 5.6 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 3,774 feet, taking you from a low point of about 7,634 feet to a high of about 10,675 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows horses, but bikes are not permitted. That makes it a ride for pack animals rather than wheels. Hennen Canyon Trail lies about 1.4 miles away, and Seitz Canyon is about 1.5 miles off. Lamoille Canyon, a climbing area, is about 3.2 miles away, and Thomas Canyon Campground is about 5 miles away.
