Adt - Nevada - S - Seg 6 is an easy out-and-back hike in the Austin-Tonopah Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada. The route is about 3.3 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 411 feet, and it reaches a high point of 6,721 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, around 8% grade, and the climb is back-loaded, so the route eases off as it nears the top. The hike sits within the Forest Service's land, and it makes a convenient addition to a day exploring the area around Berlin. The nearest town is Berlin, and several other trails and roads lie within a mile of the route. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable seasons. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show highs of about 65°F in May and 76°F in September, while winter highs hover near 42°F with lows around 10°F. The Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park Road lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Berlin Townsite Loop and Cemetery Trail are each under a mile off. Richmond Canyon Loop is about 1.3 miles away.
