Entrance Gully is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Butte Field Office of Montana, about 10 miles from the town of Butte. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Senile Gully, Senile Boulder and the Warm Up Ridge Area all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes spread across the V0 to V2 range on the V scale. The easiest are Grumpy Old Men and Pete's Hueco Problem, both V0, and the hardest is Baby Bear at V2. The area is a compact, close-to-town option for climbers looking for a short session on the rocks. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Butte show July highs around 81°F with lows near 46°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the gully, so temperatures on the boulders run a little cooler. For more time outdoors, Lower Rader Creek Road offers mountain biking about 2 miles away, and Toll Mountain Campground is roughly 4 miles off. Pigeon Creek Campground and Big Pipestone Creek, a paddling spot, are both within about 7 miles.
