Senile Boulder is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Butte Field Office of Montana, about 10 miles from the town of Butte. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Senile Gully, Entrance Gully and Whiskey Proper all about 0.1 mile away. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale. The easiest is Bon at V0, and the hardest is Emphysema Traverse Low at V4+. The median grade is V4, so the boulders here range from easy to moderately challenging. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Butte show July highs around 81°F with lows near 46°F, while winter highs stay around freezing.
