Bozeman Pass is a climbing area in Montana's Custer Gallatin National Forest, within the Bozeman Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land. The area draws climbers with its cluster of sport routes, which range from about 5.8 to 5.12a in the YDS system. Dodge Ball sits at 5.8, and Uff Da is the hardest at 5.12a. Physical Development, at 5.10a/b, and Northern Navigator, at 5.11a/b, are two more options. The Training Wall and Kitchen Sink both lie about 0.1 mile away. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 82°F in July, with lows near 50°F. The station sits about 480 feet lower than the pass, so temperatures here run a little cooler. Winter is cold and snowy, with January highs around 34°F. For time off the rock, the East Crags Trail starts about 0.4 mile away and Rocky Canyon about 0.9 mile away. Trail Creek Cabin and Mystic Lake Cabin are both within about 7 miles.
