Willis Trail is a 4.8-mile out-and-back hike on natural surface in the Rocky Mountain Ranger District of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana. It rises from about 5,644 feet to a high point of 7,389 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,771 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is not accessible. The trail opens from about May 1 through November 30, so plan a trip for late spring, summer or early fall. Mill Falls Campground sits just half a mile away, and Green Gulch Dispersed Camp Campground is about a mile off, so it is easy to base a longer stay in the area. Nearby, Lonesome Ridge and Route Creek Pass are both within about a mile and a half, and the North Fork Teton River offers paddling roughly 5 miles away.
