Headquarters Creek is a hard hike in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, part of the Rocky Mountain Ranger District of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana. The trail is 22.9 miles long and rises from about 5,256 feet to 7,744 feet, a total gain of 4,524 feet, on a natural-surface out-and-back route. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is not accessible. The trip starts at the South Fork Teton trailhead, which is open year-round. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The closest neighbor is Our Lake, a hike just 0.2 miles away, and Mill Falls Campground sits about 1.4 miles off. Green Gulch and Willis Trail are both within 2 miles.
