Vista is a short, easy hike on Forest Service land in Montana, about half a mile from the town of Superior. The trail is an out-and-back of roughly 2.7 miles, with a one-way climb of about 850 feet from a low point of 2,725 feet to a high of 3,575 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Superior show July and August highs around 88°F with lows near 50°F, while September cools to highs in the upper 70s. That station sits about 865 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures up top run cooler. The trail is natural-surface and allows bikes. It is not an accessible route. Thompson Peak Lookout Tower, a campground, is about 1.6 miles away. Cedar Creek Driveway and Thompson Creek are both hikes within about 3.6 miles. Trout Cr Campground is about 5.8 miles off.
