Swamp Creek is a moderate out-and-back hike of about 2 miles in the Libby Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest in northwestern Montana. The trail climbs roughly 850 feet from its low point at about 4,600 feet to a high of 5,449 feet, making it a steady, single-peak journey through the forest. The route is natural-surfaced and allows bikes. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open from May 1 through October 30. For more time in the area, Libby Divide lies about 2 miles away and Miller Creek about 2.8 miles. Howard Lake Campground is about 3 miles off, and the Fisher River offers paddling roughly 7 miles away.
