Divide Trail 6 (Silver Butte) is a 13.9-mile out-and-back hike in Montana on Forest Service land, about 11 miles from the town of Happys Inn. The trail is rated hard, with a total elevation gain of 726 feet from the low point at 3,118 feet to the high at 5,331 feet. The route is natural-surface and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. That makes it a flexible option for a longer trip with a horse or a mountain bike. The Fisher River runs just 0.8 miles away, and the Brulee Creek and Barren Peak hikes are both within about 2.5 miles. For an overnight base, Pleasant Valley Campground sits about 4 miles off.
