Olson Creek is a 6.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Libby Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest. The trail rises from about 3,300 feet to a high point of 4,424 feet, a climb of 982 feet one way, and is rated moderate. The route is on natural surface, and bikes are allowed. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 78°F with only about six wet days a month, while winter brings highs near 30°F and regular snow. The trail is open from June 1 to November 30. The closest neighbors are Waloven and Trapper Creek, both about a mile away, and Silver Butte Fisher River, a paddling route about a mile off. Lake Creek Campground sits about 4 miles away.
