Shark's Tooth East is a short mountain biking ride in Massachusetts, about 0.8 miles from North Saugus. It is an out-and-back route of roughly 0.7 miles, with a total elevation gain of 58 feet, and it is rated easy. The climb is front-loaded, and the steepest section comes about a quarter of the way in, at roughly 3% grade. The high point is 203 feet, and the route returns to the starting elevation of about 189 feet. That makes it a quick, low-commitment outing, perfect for a short stop between other rides. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Reading run from highs around 70°F in May to the low 80s in July, with September easing back to about 75°F. Several other rides and climbing spots sit within a short distance. Deep Woods Trail West and the Krack House Area are each about 0.1 mile away, and Deep Woods Trail East is about 0.7 mile off. The Old Goat Path (OGP) is about 0.9 mile away.
