Stoddard is a hard hike in Idaho's Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, on the North Fork Ranger District of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. The trail is a point-to-point route of about 25 miles, with a total elevation gain of 8,278 feet, from a low point of 3,037 feet to a high of 7,876 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trailhead is called Stoddard Trailhead. The route is natural-surfaced and allows horses, but not bikes. It is open year-round, and the estimated time for the trip is about 12.5 hours. Stoddard Access lies about half a mile away, and Cramer Basin and Nolan Pt. are both within about 2.5 miles. For an overnight base, Ebenezer Campground is about 4.4 miles off.
