Saint Regis Lakes is an easy out-and-back hike in Idaho's Lolo National Forest, within the Superior Ranger District. The trail is about 2.9 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 838 feet, taking you from a low point of about 4,765 feet to a high of about 5,590 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is natural-surfaced and open year-round. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mullan Pass show July and August highs around 70°F with only about six wet days a month, while winter highs stay near 28°F. The trail is not accessible. Bikes are allowed, so it works for a ride as well as a walk. Copper Lake is about 1.5 miles away, and Shoshone Park Kitchen campground is about 2.1 miles off. The E. Fk Willow Ck-Stevens Lakes hike and the West Willow (Lone Lake) hike are both within about 2.2 miles.
