Enid's is a 3.6-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Sawtooth National Recreation Area, part of the Sawtooth National Forest. The trail rises from about 7,400 feet to a high point of 7,773 feet, with a total elevation gain of 222 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is rated moderate. The trail is natural-surfaced and open year-round. Bikes and horses are both allowed, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Stanley run to highs around 80°F in July and August, with lows near 39°F. That station sits roughly 1,300 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Big Wood Loop and Psycho Ridge are both about half a mile away. Chemeketan Campground is about 4.6 miles off, and the Salmon River is about 6.2 miles away.
