Middle Trail is a short, easy hike on the Lula Lake Land Trust Site in Georgia, managed by a non-governmental organization. The route is about 2.2 miles long, with a total climb of 527 feet and a high point of 1,495 feet. It is an out-and-back, and the steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.14 miles from the start, where the grade reaches 12 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 67°F with lows near 51°F, and April highs around 68°F. That station sits about 615 feet higher than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run a little warmer. South Creek Trail and Homestead Trail both start about 0.1 mile away. Chattanooga Creek, a paddling spot, is about 1.9 miles off, and Rock City, a climbing area, is about 4.1 miles away.
