Access Road is a short, easy out-and-back hike on the Lula Lake Land Trust Site in northwest Georgia, about half a mile from the town of Lula. The route is 1.1 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 30 feet, and it is managed by a non-governmental organization. The trail rises from 1,247 feet to 1,317 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 0.49 miles in, where the grade reaches 6 percent. The climb is gentle, and the route works well as a quick addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding trails. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 75°F with lows near 47°F, and April highs around 73°F. That station sits about 535 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Several other trails start close by. White Lightning and North Creek Trail are each about 0.2 miles away, and Bluff Trail is about 0.3 miles away. Chattanooga Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 2 miles off.
